Charnwood Care Home was acquired by Divine Rock Care Limited in October 2023, with a clear vision: to provide exceptional, person-centred care in a warm, supportive, and homely environment. From the outset, our goal has been to create a place where every resident feels valued, safe, and genuinely at home.
Like many care homes, our journey has not been without challenges. In 2024, following a difficult period and a disappointing CQC report, a new chapter began. Divine Rock Care took decisive action, appointing a new Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Clinical Lead — a leadership team united by a shared mission: to transform Charnwood into the outstanding care home it was always meant to be.
With a renewed sense of purpose and unwavering commitment, our new leadership inspired the entire team, embedding a culture rooted in compassion, dignity, and excellence. Resident well-being became the central focus of everything we do — from daily routines and personalised care plans to social engagement and meaningful relationships.
Thanks to the dedication, resilience, and teamwork of our staff, Charnwood experienced a remarkable turnaround. In February 2025, our hard work was formally recognised when we proudly achieved a CQC rating of ‘Good’ in all areas.
This milestone reflects not just improved standards, but the heart and soul of life at Charnwood. Our story is one of renewal, progress, and an enduring commitment to enriching the lives of those we care for.
